MAY 25th IS THE DEADLINE TO CHALLENGE REAL ESTATE TAX ASSESSMENTS

The attorneys at E. Stewart Jones Hacker Murphy LLP assist property owners in reducing tax assessments on commercial real estate.

The annual opportunity to challenge the assessment on commercial and industrial property tax opened May 1. During the next few weeks, until May 25, a “grievance” must be filed in the municipality where the property is located. Our attorneys file grievances on behalf of their clients each year to address excessive assessments on all types of commercial properties such as offices and retail centers, golf courses and hotels, as well as industrial properties like warehouses, light and heavy manufacturing buildings. We help clients navigate the municipal administrative review process at the Board of Assessment Review and, if necessary, commence litigation seeking a reduction of taxes, and in some cases substantial refunds.

We are happy to offer prospective clients a complimentary analysis of their tax assessments and bills. Please contact Pat Seely, Esq. for a consultation at 518-213-0118.
